Dr Richards’ rooms are based in Darlinghurst (adjacent to Hyde Park) and Caringbah. He has admitting rights to St Luke’s Hospital in Potts Point and to Kareena Private Hospital in Caringbah.
He is highly specialised in the management of women with confirmed or suspected gynaecological cancers, with significant experience in the management of patients with abnormal pap smears, genital pre-cancers and risk-reducing surgery for genetic and non-genetic high risk women.
He prides himself on using the latest international research and techniques to manage his patients’ clinical issues, with significant involvement in ANZGOG (weblink), ASGO (weblink) and ASCCP (weblink). He also manages patients with non-cancer related gynaecological conditions having had extensive experience in the management of genital organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, menopause and contraception.
He is a fully qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with and also has subspeciality qualifications in Gynaecology Cancer care and post-graduate qualifications in Reproductive Medicine and Business Administration. Dr Richards is very happy to discuss any issues that patients or referring doctors have regarding patient care and provides a calm manner during what can be a very stressful time for his patients.
Outside of work Dr Richards enjoys gardening, cooking, going to the gym and spending time with Barkley and Lady (his Cavalier King Charles Spaniels).
